Chai Spice

We have been making Chai for years and selling chai commercially for 6 years. Until recently we have been trading as Lotus Chai, our new name is Chai Spice.

It was a hard decision to make (to change our name) as we have loved the name Lotus Chai. However we needed to launch our new product range and wanted a name suitable for our entire range. Given that we use no tea in our Chai  it made sense to call our business Chai Spice.

As mentioned we also have a new range of products. We have always sold traditional chai blends and chai concentrate that is delicious and well loved by serious chai drinkers. We now also sell instant chai blends and make them as best as they can be made.

We feel that most instant chai powder is either reasonable, bad or terrible. We believe ours is superb. The reason is - the ingredients and the taste. Most chai powders are full of dairy powder, refined sugar, flavours and other additives. The additives range from corn starch, corn syrup tp emulsifiers, preservatives, colours, anti caking agents - and the list goes on.

We simply use sugar and spice. But no ordinary sugar and only the best spices. We stonegrind or raw sugar in a beautiful mill from brought in from Germany and mix our special spice blends with it to create delicious drinks instantly.

Bush Spices have been our favourite for some time in the home kitchen and we now offer Bush Spice chai in our traditional mix as well as our instant chai. The spices we use are Mountain Pepper Berry and Wattleseed.

Our business is located in the Goldfields area of Central Victoria in a building built in 1850.

We use traditional methods to crush and mix our chai blends and cook our chai concentrate in small batches. Our instant chai is also made using the best methods - stone ground sugar and spice with nothing added!
